Jim, what you "told you so" was that the problem had nothing to do with
updated scripts. I didn't say where the problem lay, but I can say with
some certainty that Toggle Punctuation and Speech Mode fall over if the
latest version of Eloquence Fix is running. I'm assuming, due to your
"told you so" approach, that you have successfully run one or both of
those scripts together with Eloquence Fix. If so, the problem may be
restricted to XP machines.

Contrary to your experience, I have not encountered script errors
without diagnosable causes. In this case, the test is simple - install
the latest Eloquence fix and the others fall over; revert to the
previous version and they work.

I know this isn't nice but I told you so. Sorry I just
could not resist.

Convinced yet?

The latest release of the Eloquence Fix script seems to offend both the
Toggle Punctuation and Speech Mode scripts. Upon installing the updated
script just now, Speech Mode reported:

Speechmode.vbs Microsoft runtime

Line 43 column 21

Script text unavailable

Object required 'shared objects'

Etc

Toggle Punctuation reported:

Toggle Punctuation Microsoft vbs runtime error

Line 100 column 1

Script text unavailable

Object required "shared objects"

Etc

I am not responsible for the SpeechMode and TogglePunctuation scripts,
however I think the problem lies with how they handle the GW Toolkit
shared object. Authors have been very busy updating their scripts'
internals to meet with GW Micro's recommended techniques, and there are
a few which haven't made it yet. I use a number of scripts, but each has
been recently updated, and I am seeing no issues with EloquenceFix.

I suggest contacting the authors of the offending scripts directly so
they can resolve these issues.

Best regards,
Steve
