I never noticed a sluggishness in listviews until beta 3. Now going
through
the listview in Windows Explorer, the listview in outlook 2007 both seem
slow. I don't think it's restricted to just listviews as arrowing down a
webpage in IE 7 sometimes seems slow also. I tried uninstalling
Window-Eyes
completely and reinstalling with same results. Definitely not a big deal
but a bit annoying that's all. Again this is with Windows Vista, a
TrippleTalk USB and 2 GB of ram.

For some reason when I shut down and restarted WE the problem disappeared
so
at least I can account for that one (the one I mentioned I mean).
I'd say at this point that sluggishness is the my biggest issue,
especially
when using list mode in Windows Explorer. It's better than the earlier
betas but still annoying.
In defense of Window-Eyes however I'd say I think it works with Firefox
better than the current Jaws beta which I am also using.

Hmm. I haven't seen that one. No, my issue is with Browse Mode not
activating properly in some instances. I find that, when first loading
my
homepage when starting the browser, Browse Mode will not activate untill
I
press something. Sometimes the arrow keys work, other times it'll take a
tab or shift tab, but it always takes something before WE will read any
of
the page, and even announce how many links are on that page. Also, I've
found that after clicking buttons on certain sites using enter, Browse
Mode must be turned on manually when the next page loads.

I have also noticed a weird problem in Firefox. When turning off
browse
mode in google WE acts as though I've already clicked search when I
start
to type.
Not sure if this is the browse issue referenced in the attached note
but
this is what I'm seeing.

I feel it is our duty to be totally honest here, and so I shall. I do
not think WE7.0 is ready for release at this point. Support for
Firefox
3, which is a much-advertised feature, is at best, incomplete. The
browse mode issues that I, and several others have reported still
exist
in FF3, as do the Onclick issue and screen refresh issues I have
reported.
To clarify, Window-eyes now doesn't even report certain things that
really are onclicks as such. This causes problems on certain web
sites.
Also, the previously mentioned screen redraw issue, where one must
continuously redraw the screen when browsing sites that use frames. I
have reasons for wishing to continue to use Firefox, and while I
understand the needs of one individual need not be meant if it doesn't
benefit the whole, I am not the only one who has experienced some of
these issues. I only repete all this because my previous reports meant
with no response. There is no indication these issues are being
addressed.
On another note, there is a brand new FF3 issue I have discovered.
Certain visited links are appearing as same page links, when in fact
they are not. This is probably the most minor of the issues I have
noticed, but it deserves to be reported. OI am also still having the
reading issue when composing a message in Thunderbird, but I admit
that
may be a script problem rather than a Window-eyes one. I hope I
haven't
ruffled too many feathers, but I felt my honest opinion should be
stated. Thanks.
