To anyone interested in W/E and the Mac,

There was a very good discussion on the ATMaine Show yesterday,
Wednesday. You may wish to go to <<atmaine.com> and listen directly to
or download the archive located on the ATMaine show Page. You may also
wish to subscribe to the ATMaine podcast. There's a lot of good info
and discussion on this site, run by Steven M. Sawczyn, proprietor and
trainer of Assistive Technology Of Maine.

There is not only Boot Camp, but the Mac has a virtual Windows mode, and
it is my understanding that any screen reader can be launched within
that mode, making the Mac act like a Windows machine.

Steve is one of a number of people now using the Mac, and I'm sure he
would be glad to give you any info you may need about the Mac as it
relates to Windows and existing Windows screen readers. His contact
info appears on the opening page of his site.

Hope this helps.

Pam

Hi Bob, I don't know much about the mac, but I understand it comes with
something called boot camp, and what this does is to enable you to run
either the mac operating system, or windows, and the mac operating
system has voice over, the screen reader for the mac. As to whether or
not boot camp is accessible or not, I don't know, but you could try
going to Leo Laport's tech guy labs site at http://www.techguylabs.com
and see if you can find out any more details regarding boot camp.

Hi listers,

I just purchased a Macintosh Imac. Is there anyone who can email me (off
list) so we can talk about getting this computer ready for Windows XP,
and Window-Eyes?

Thanks.
