My issue of WE losing speech at start-up has been solved. It was due to my firewall, zonealarm, starting and popping up an alert. This does not explain why it froze at shutdown, but still.

Secondly, some GW list members took issue what my previous email. I thought, mistakenly, that I had made it clear at what point speech was being lost. Apparently I didn't. And, my bringing FS into this was my way of mocking their law suit. I did not intend to bash GWMicro, and as I said, GWMicro has come out with stable products, much more stable than its competitors.
