Lou,
Thanks,
You are right, but it only works when interpunction is on. I don't like to hear
the words period, comma etc.

  Yep. Do this.

From the desktop, press Control-Shift-E to open the exceptions dictionary
dialog.

  Press C for character dictionary.

The edit character dictionary dialog opens and focus is in the original edit
box.

  Type the colon character.

Tab to the replacement edit box and type the following

  Colon.

Read the above line carefully. There is a period character after the word
colon. You must include the period in order to get the longer pause.

OK is the default, so press Enter.

Now open the WE control panel with control backslash.

Press Alt-F, S, C to save the character dictionary.

This works with all punctuation characters where a bit of a pause is desired.
Note. Adding two periods after the word colon does not increase the pause
interval.

  Hallo All,

Does anyone know a way to make windoweyes speech gives a short pause after a
colon (:)?

Other punctuationmarks like semicolon and point make such short pauses.

  Regards,

  Sjak
