The Microsoft Office scanner software has a very handy OCR which converts
the .tiff to .html and opens it in Word. Works well and is easy... With
WE7, WinXp and Office '03 (and probably '07 as well).

Subject: Accessing a scanned document with Window-eyes

Hi,
I was wondering if there's a way for one to be able to access a document
scanned as an image with Window-eyes. I work for my local government, and
when we have documentation which comes in from the state, my co-workers scan
it so I can access it. They scan it as a TIF file, but I am having a
problem accessing it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Helen
