Hello:
I've generally been fantastically impressed and happy with WE's performance in
thin client mode. Yesterday, however, I encountered a vexing problem that I
cannot sort out.
I'm using the virtual synthesizer, Citrix, and servers and client machines all
running Windows XP Professional.
As a matter of routine, I start Window-Eyes remote as the first application in
the remote session. Then, I start Windows Explorer. That insures, as a
general rule, that WE works perfectly and allows set files to be modified and
saved. Also, I should ention that I'm running 6.1. I understand, however,
that Version 7.0 doesn't really affect remote access. So, that shouldn't
matter.
At some point yesterday, while operating in thin client mode, Word locked up.
The manner of exit was awkward, and I don't actually remember how the exit
occurred.
Last night and today, though other applications continue to work perfectly, MS
word (Word XP) behaves as though Windows remote is not running. Outlook,
Windows Explorer, DocsOpen (our document management product), and other
applicatins work fine; however, the title of the document is read when one uses
alt-tab to enter the application. After that, all is quiet.
Neither the cursor nor the mouse keys work at all. Moreover, it does not
matter what document is loaded. All remains quiet.
The appliation is running because I can press, for example, control-o and the
document management is fired up -- as it is supposed to.
I've tried rebooting, logging out and logging in, shutting down, and just about
everything else I can think of.
Of course, all my efforts are directed to the client version. I do not have
access to the remote program.
Helpful suggestions would be deeply appreciated.
