I am able to activate the links on that page. In fact I spent a few
minutes listening to some nice 60s music by clicking on the winamp link.
Firefox is by default configured to block links which redirect you to
another link. the playlist link is one such link. On these occasions
Window eyes reads out the appropriate message immediately after
activating the link. Of course, it's easy to accidentally interrupt
the message by pressing another key.
To find out for sure if the page has been blocked do the following:
on your numeric keypad
1. press key 1 to move the mouse to the bottom left corner of the
browser window.
2. Press key 2 to move up a line where you might encounter the word "Done".
3. Press key 2 once more to go up a line where you might find the
following message:
"Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to
another page. Allow"
At this point you have two options:
4A. The insert 6 hotkey on the numeric keypad is for moving the mouse
pointer to the next word.
Press insert 6 repeatedly until you reach the word allow.
5a. press insert slash (on the numpad) for a single left click over
the word allow.
Alternatively:
4b. Press alt a to allow.
The reason I've given you two options is because the first allows the
redirection and the page refreshes successfully. The second option
may seem straightforward but the page doesn't refresh immediately. In
fact, you'd have to do a bit of fiddling around to get to the right
point in the browser window before activating browse mode. You could
try that and the trick is to use the tab key until you get past the
tab control.
Last but by no means least, I should think very carefully before
allowing for a redirection. Do it if you're 100 percent sure that the
site is kosher. I thought I'd get that in in case someone accuses me
of leading them to some porno site.
let us know how you get on.
