I'm using IE 7. I don't use fire fox. Someone at gw micro said it gives you the choice to save or run. Like any other file you download off the internet. I don't want to go through a bunch of crud. I just wanted to run it. But if it's that difficult, forget it! I'm not sure I want to mess with scripts. But I did kind of want to try them. Oh well. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sam bushman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

What software app are you using to go to the web site?
What if you right click and choose save target as in ie and save link as in firefox.
Then save the script.
After it's saved find it in windows and double click on it.
Then run from there.

Hi. I go to the gw micro script central. I choose what script to download. I hit enter on that script. I go to where it says download and hit enter. Then it talks how some files could be harmful to your computer and gives me the choice to find or save. Does that help any? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sam bushman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Sandy,

How about if we get actual details of what you are exactly doing.
You start what application.
You go to the gwmicro.com/sc site.
You ....
Thanks
Sam

Andy, do you have vista or xp? They say we should have the choice to save or run. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy Baracco" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

This is true. You need to first download, then install them from your HD.

Hi Raul and all. This is Sandra Fouts, at home. I haven't been on my home computer and my throat is really messed up. But, I have now double checked. The scripts do"not"! "not!, give me a choice to run. It tells me to save or find. I think one of the gentleman named Mike, on this list said his says the same thing. We both have windows xp home. I admit I haven't finished my emails. But I don't think anyone from gw micro has explained this to us. Why does ours not give us the choice to run? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandra Fouts" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Raul A. Raul, I'll need to look again when I get home. I don't remember it
giving me the choice to run. It got to the point where it said to find
or save. Otherwise I probably would have chosen, run.

Script downloads do the same. You can choose to save or run.

Many thanks.

Hmm. Most of the time when I download something. If I want, I hit
enter on open, then I'm walked throught the instalation. It does not

ask me to save or find. Maybe it should be, find, save, or open,
then a person could just open and windows could walk them through.
In fact, I think what people are usually asked when they want to
install a program is do they want to run or save the program. Then
you can either save or run the program and install it. When I chose
find, I think it took me to microsoft, or something like that. Any
thoughts on this?
Thanks.

Downloading and installing scripts is just like downloading and
installing other programs you get on the Internet. We've made this as
easy as possible. So if you download the script package, just press
enter on it and Window-Eyes will guide you through the setup of the
package.

Hope this helps.

Sandra Fouts said the following on 10/2/2008 9:22 AM:
Okay here's my question. Just where would you want it to go. The
install package ended up on my desktop. So now just what do I do
with

it? Thanks.

High,

From the web site tab over to the package you want and press enter.
A

dialog will come up asking you if you want to save the file or open
it.
select save tell it where you want it to go and press enter. Now it
will be on your drive verses installing itself.

The only package I think you really need to do this with is the
install packages script but that is just me.
