Andrew good tips there just to add I use the Ctrl and the arrow keys to get the feed of the sheet, they jump to the next empty or filled cell based on the cell you are sitting on.
Just like Sandra I use to hate Excel but taking the help of the manual and our friendly list the hate has reduced. Still I hate it when there are Graphs around and things that don't work properly. Assuming V6 (I think) or later of Window-Eyes with the correct set file, pressing any arrow key will move you cell by cell in that direction. But yes, depending on the content of the spreadsheet and the info you're looking for, moving cell by cell can at times be very tedious. Especially when trying to get an overall sense of the content, I use the mouse keys to read line by line. That will read all the visible cells on each line. When finding a cell that you want to interact with, clicking on it will make it active. Another option, again depending on content and purpose, would be to convert the spreadsheet into a Microsoft Word file in order to get an overall impression. Contrary to Sandra's experience, I find XL spreadsheets in combination with Window-Eyes a great resource when used appropriately. In otherwords can it read top to bottom giving me a clue where things are without me going slowly across the lines from a1 to e1 or where ever it ends? thanks Mike If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
