Hi Peter,

Whatever Word defines as a spelling or grammar error is what WE will route
you to. Since I can't really see any wavy lines, I'll have to let my
sighted cohorts answer that one. <smile>

Hello Jeremy,

I have been using the F7 method, but will now try the GW approach to run a
spell and grammar check.

Question, does WE 7.0 no about the blue wavy underlines that indicate a
context check error or just red and green wavy underlines?

Actually, you will use more keystrokes using the Spelling dialog box. Let's
say you mis-spell the word "test" as "teest." Using the WE method, you are
already in the context of the sentence, so you don't have to Tab anywhere.
Then, you just press Context menu, Arrow to the response you want and press
Enter.

In the spell check dialog, you have to try to figure out the context of the
word in the sentence which can be difficult. This is after you have pressed
F7. Then, you have to Tab to your options. If you can find the one you
want by Arrowing to it, then you have to Tab a minimum of two times, and
probably more unless you have the Alt keys memorized. So, you are saving
yourself at least one keystroke using the WE method, and probably more.
And, as you said, after several hundred times, just one keystroke per word
will really add up.

Not when you are doing hundereds of replacements in one documents. Each
corection takes two to three key strokes rather then one. I did this same
thing in word 2003 with 6.1

And I need that abilty back.

The best way to do spell check in Word is to use the Window-Eyes spell check
keys, which are Alt-Apostrophe and Alt-Semicolon. This will move you
between spelling and grammar errors in the document. Then, use your arrow
keys to move through the word, or use the WE reading keys to hear the word.
Press the Context menu key to open up a list of suggestions for spelling
provided by Word.

I am using vista and office 2007 in the hi contrast mode. That's white
letters with black background I think. with Window eyes 6.1

When I am in MS word and go to use the spell checker we reads the window box
name then the line that contains a mispelled word then it reads the butten
options. It then rereads all of that if I left arrow to manualy edit the
sentens. Any idea as to what is set wrong?

I am trying to get it so it will let me move through the mispelled word
letter by letter so I can corect it.
