Under normal circumstances, I find it more efficient to have all commands on the main keyboard. When swapping between desktop and notebooks, it's especially useful to have a consistent layout. Having to use a function key breaks the consistency - just call me inflexible.

Most lap tops I ever saws have a means of using the keypad with the fn key. So just switch back to desktop layout and use the fn key. Of course you could always make your own layout. -----Original Message----- From: Chip Orange [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, October 16, 2008 6:19 AM To: jitendra ashok mahimkar Cc: [email protected] Subject: RE: Update on We 7 issue Of course!!! Thanks so much. This is why I'm not happy with WE laptop support; they've assigned many keystrokes like this that conflict with commonly used key combinations.
