Ok I'll check when I get back to office but it's still puzzling why it's
happening after installing 7.01..
Thanks

Hi but if you have other keyboard langwiges installed hitting the shift
alt
combo will switch between them. So it is far more probable this is what
happened. As far as the documentation says there has been no changes to
how
window-eyes handles the keyboard.
There should be of course to provide more key combination but this is
another story.

I find it very difficult to accept that explanation because
1 my keyboard was working properly until 7.01 was installed.
2 I did not make any changes to the keyboard.
3 In control pannel and keyboard settings, I found nothing wrong there.
4 It is happening on someone else's machine too after 7.01 was installed.
5 Keyboard properties in control pannel reports "standard 101 102 key
or
Microsoft natural ps2 keyboard". Surely that can't be wrong?

This has to do with your keyboard configuration. Not with Window-Eyes.

Hi, after installing 7.01 I am experiencing the following random
problem.
On three occasions, twice on my pc and once on another, a couple of keys
on the keyboard change functions. For example, pressing the ctrl-\
(backslash)results in the @ (at) sign. When that happens, I hear
"keyboard UK" when at the desktop and "keyboard US" when in control
pannel. I am still not able to pinpoint the cause. A reboot is necessary
to restore the keyboard. Both machines have xp sp3 installed.
