Sounds like explorer might have stopped responding. Please note that you might get a loss of speech if a program stops working. This is not only true of window-eyes but of all screen readers I have so far tested. The annoying part is this does not happen consistently. Sometimes the screen reader mostly window-eyes will read the close program dialog etc but some time it just stops talking and the only way to resume speech is to close the program using another screen reader generally narrator to find and click the button.
I hope at some point window-eyes will be able to read these dialogs 100% of the time without losing speech and Braille.
