I agree with you about more agressive keyboard handling but there are those who
don't have the dexterity like you and I to press the key combination key. I
alsso can accomplish this easy because my cheapie wallymart keyboard has a
right windows key so I can free up a finger to depress one of the other keys in
the combination (grin).

Using the bypass key will not accomplish what you want

however, pressing the right control should do the trick.

The problem is here that the application is getting the left control before
window eyes does.

Another argument for more aggressive keyboard handling.

When you are in the chat client window use first insert b to bypass the key's
use and then press the control shift windows p. That should do it. That is
how I ot mine to shut off in FTP.

Both chat clients use the left control key as a push to talk key. I tried
that already and it hasn't worked so far.
