I do not have this software so this is just a guess.
It might be that there is a progress bar being displayed.
Try using the block progress bar command control+windows+shift+p by default.
To tell the progress bars script to block indication of progress bars in
this window.
Let us know if that is of some assistance.

I just joined bookshare.org and downloaded the free version of the Victor 
software that comes with a membership.
When I am reading I keep hearing Windoweyes say things like "0%" as the book

is playing.
What do I need to do to stop this for reading books?
