Given the prices and features of these new micro notebooks I have a feeling
that the Smart Talk Ultra is going to have to drop a lot or they may not be
selling many because you can do Window-Eyes on one of these new computers
for hundreds of dollars less.

You could check with GW about their SmallTalk Ultra if that's the type
of thing you mean.
I don't know why, but I've been told by one of their dealers that the
company who makes that product, Oqo, sells more powerful models with
more memory, than what GW will offer you. You should ask GW if that's
the case and why it's so, and don't just take the word of one dealer.
He was trying to talk me into buying directly from Oqo via him, as I
thought the SmallTalk Ultra wasn't powerful enough for what I wanted.
It's not cheap; being around 1 pound, and being a fully-functional pc,
it's around $2300 I think.
You can buy more powerful notebooks for that kind of money, but they
will be much bigger (around 2.5 or 3 pounds usually). I've been very
impressed with the Lenovo offerings in this weight class.
They tend to have a frustrating keyboard though. The SmallTalk ultra
doesn't even pretend to have a keyboard, so you'll need to carry a
portible usb or bluetooth keyboard; while, these notebooks that are in
the 3 pound range do pretend to have a keyboard, it's hard to use, and
often requires you to use a fn key plus something else to achieve, say,
the home key or the end key. They're definitely more powerful than the
SmallTalk Ultra.

Hi List members, How much does one of these things cost?
Sounds like a pretty good thing to have on the go. Also how
fast is the processor? Ken.
