Well, not sure what's going on, but I reinstalled bcscan and also
gwtoolkit for good measure and it seems to be working again. What's odd
is that it was working fine up until one day last week when suddenly it
stopped working.
As far as I know, nothing changed between the time it worked and the
time it didn't, but obviously something did.
Anyway it's working and that's the important thing.

Don,
I wonder if this problem is on your end, perhaps with a firewall or
another program? I've successfully used the script several times a day
for the past week here.
Is anyone else seeing issues? If not, I can help troubleshoot your
situation.
Thanks.

I originally sent this to the gw-scripts list, but realized that this
list might get more responses from script users as opposed to script
developers.

The scanner still is not connecting with the bcscan website after
about a week of down time.
Has anyone heard when this problem may be resolved? Many people
spent a lot of money for scanners specifically to use this script.
It's certainly not gw's fault by any means, but guess it just points
out the problems the user can encounter with specialized scripts.
Does anyone know of another program which is window-eyes accessible
whic can be used with scanners such as the metrologic?
Thanks,
Don
