You cannot control-a then delete on a message you are reading. You need
to forward or reply to the message, then when you are in the edit area
of the message you are writing, you can use the editing you want.
Many thanks.

Dear List:
I have Window-eyes 5.5 with Windows XP and using outlook Express.
Concerning Outlook Express, I am trying to delete what's in the message such as
all the persons receiving the email, and for that matter, the entire message.
I just want to leave all the attachments there and insert a few sentences of my
own and then send it on. If I do a control-A for example, it says select all.
But, when I hit the delete key, nothing gets deleted. It does the other kinds
of selections too, but when I hit the delete key, nothing happens. Is there
some setting I should be adjusting? When I am reading the message, I notice
that Browse mode is on. How do I make the message editable and still retain
the attachments? Thanks. Regards: Ted Larson
