The only problem that introduces is then you cannot see your Google Talk chat history. I don't understand why, but chat history seems to only be available in the standard version and won't download with email to pop3 etc. I am refering to the stand-alone application google talk and not to the chat feature on the gmail site but I think these share the same history.

Hello. I've had much better luck using gmail in the basic mode. Also, if you enable imap or even pop3 access, just use a real email client such as Thunderbird to send and receive gmail.

Many thanks.

Has anyone had success using gmail? I am having a tough time getting WE 6.1 to click on the proper place to compose a mail message.
 Anyone know the secret?
 Alan
