have you tried to reclass this custom control?
While the custom control has focus, press insert-r and choose focus.
Give some of the controls a try, depending on what you think the control
should be. If you give section 8.16 a read, it will explain this further.
many thanks.

Hi Everyone:
I have a POINT OF SALE software that DOES NOT WORK with Window-Eyes
directly OUT OF THE BOX; When using the arrow keys, nothing gets read.
However, when I route Point to Cursor and use the up and down arrow keys
on the numpad, it does read whatever the cursor lands on. When this
program loads, Window-Eyes says: "CUSTOM CONTROL" and I CAN'T MAKE
SENSE of what a CUSTOM CONTROL let alone how to ensure that I can
RECLASSIFY IT correctly.
I am desperately seeking a Window-Eyes Script/Set File Developer-Writer
that can help TAKE A PICK at this program and or HELP CREATE whichever
scripts or set files that will make it work better. I am HOPING TO USE
this POS software at a retail store front starting in January, so time
is of the essence!
I will be willing to PAY A REASONABLE PRICE to any such an individual
who might be interested in helping with this project. Please contact me
privately so I can GET THE POS software in your hands and we can
NEGOTIATE the price to be paid.
Incidentally, when I ran a democopy of Jaws, I was able to use the
regular up and down arrow keys to read what is displayed and I DO NOT
hear CUSTOM CONTROL read at all. Window-Eyes is the screen reader that
HAS KEPT ME SOMEWHAT GAINFULLY EMPLOYED for as long as I can recall, and
I intend to use it for work at the retail store.
Mega thanks to all script/set file developers-writers, and I look
forward to hearing from several of you out there privately!
Sincerely,
Olusegun
