If you use the set that you are using in IE in Outlook does it work? This will tell us if it is actually set file related.

I'm running Win-eyes 7.0 on a new computer with Windows XP, Service Pack 3. I'm
using a gracefully aging Logitech USB keyboard that has a number of extra
buttons above the standard typing keys, which mostly launch programs, but one is to adjust the volume. That button is split, with the upper half increasing the
volume, and the bottom half decreasing it.

Now, while using Internet Explorer to read the .xml file of the NY Times, in
Read-to-end mode, I can exercise that split-button volume control to adjust
volume on the fly, but in Outlook, while reading mail, for example, if I use it
with read-to-end, reading is halted.

I've scoured the obvious menu settings in the File, Screen, Keyboard, Global,
and General menus carefully in both, to see what is different between their set
files, if anything, but I can't find what accounts for that difference.
Obviously, I'd like to be able to adjust volume on the fly. Anyone have an idea
where to start looking? It's got to be a set file difference.
