Bud: Go to start, run and type in winver. You'll have to review the screen with the mouse but this will tell you if you have service pack 3.

I have my windows update set to automatic, but for the past several weeks I keep getting the message that there is a critical update that I should take care of. So I finally decided to go ahead with it. Apparently it is service pack 3 for my xp but I don't know why the automatic didn't take care of it. It took a long time, maybe almost an hour all the time giving the percentages which I like. Anyway when it got near the end it quit and said an error occured and it wouldn't be able to continue and that I should use the uninstall wizzard to uninstall it and put me back to where I was before. Then after uninstalling it said it wasn't able to get everything so I may have trouble in some areas. My question is, where can I look to see if in fact I do have service pac three already. I got a real fright just after that as I lost my high speed hookup and thought it might be the result of all that, but fortunately I got cable back in a couple hours so it probably was just Charter. Thanks and sorry this is so long. Bud Schwab W 6 Z Y P Malibu, California If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
