Well, which program are you using, 2.7, or 3.0, that is significant. Even 4.0 though that's setup is similar to 3.0.

If 3.0, f5 is your friend, and you find the alerts and notifications portion and the box for notifying via email. You will have the option of telling Nod32 your smtp server, and whether SMTP server requires authentication checkbox, checked or not, etc. If so, you fill in your log on name and password, if not, you don't. You tell the program the originating email and receiving email, they can be the same, like sending messages to yourself. I have two email addresses so use one as the originator and the other as the receiver. That should work, let me know. I've done it with 2.7 though it's not quite as easy to find as in 3.0 because in 3.0, arrowing down you come directly to the "alerts and notifications," section of the tree view, make sure it's expanded, and you'll find what you need by tabbing around.

Hi, Curtis. Ok, I'm one of those older fogies who needs to be tole how to set things up to be notified via e-mail if the updates will work and install to the desired location. Could you please tell me how to receive such e-mail messages? Thanks much.

Have it deliver the updates to you via email, that always works.

        Hi,
Still haven't heard from anyone about the nod 32 v3.0 update announcement script. There is very little documentation on it at script central, as far as I can tell. It says in the details page that are the dialogs are accessible. How? How are they accessible when the script isn't in the script manager list nor in the set file list. Checked both places.

One person wrote to me and said, "You don't need a script. I have been using nod32 for 3 years." Well,, I've been using it since last May, but the updates are not announced at least on this system, except the first initial one.

I'm not upset or anything, but would like to find how it works so I can get it to work right. <smile>
        Thanks,
        Pastor Gil
