One thing I like to do is extract the audio from the DVD's with a
program called DVD Audio Extractor.
Then I can copy the DVD audio to my portable reading device and not
mess with the DVD discs anymore.

There are not such things currently due to the complete graphical nature
of DVD menus. The best you can do is use a program like PowerDVD which
allows you to use the number keys to access the different menus.
However, if you don't know what those menus are to begin with, you will
have to make a guess.
