Hello Larry and all. A standard usb stick will work. Since many netbooks
have sd slots, these will also work.
Many thanks.

Raul, do you need a U3 smart drive for this ssort of installation or
will a standard thumb drive work?
Thanks in advance.

Subject: Re: sounds so easy copying CD
Hi. No need for classic view. Also, on your thumb drive, create a
folder called 70 or something short and simple. Open your WE cd and
when the folders and files are displayed, press control-a to select
all and control-c to copy. Now open the 70 folder on your thumb drive
and control-v there. This will copy the 500 plus mb of data of the WE
cd onto your thumb drive. Now when you run the install, just run
x:\70\setup from the netbook, of course changing x to what ever the
drive is. When you put the drive in, you might just be able to open
the folder. Press the first letter of the folder, 7 in my example.
Press enter, now press s once to get to setup and press enter. From
that point on, the talking installer will work.
many thanks.

Hello,
I am using WE 7.01 and have the CD for WE 7.0. Using Windows Vista.
I want
to copy the CD onto a thumb drive so that I can then put WE on my MSI
Wind
netbook. I have attempted to copy the CD to my thumb drive but did
not know
whether to use the copy to clipboar
Jo Taliaferro, empowering people to live with their choices
D command and paste to the thumb drive or the "send to" and then
indicate
that it should be sent to the thumb drive. I tried both. When I
thought WE
was on the thumb drive, I used Windows Narrator to get the netbook
started
and reached the desktop. Netbook has Windows XP Home on it but isn't
configured for Classic view yet so I get lots of messages I don't
need when
it starts up. When I put the thumb drive into one of the USB ports,
I have
to search for WE since there's lots of stuff on the thumb drive which
apparently came with it. I tried to delete the junk. I chose the
properties
menu and selected the copy option and attempted to install WE onto the
netbook. My efforts failed. I thought I could run WE as a regular
INSTall
from thumb drive to the netbook using i.e. f: backslash Install. Sorry
this is long but I need help! Jo Taliaferro If you reply to this
