Now, let's try this:
>From the inbox, press control-n for a new message, fill in the to and
subject fields, and then type a message.
Press alt-s to send the message.

If you never alt-tabbed, you should be in the inbox.
Please note, that with vista and windows mail, it is good to leave 1
message in the inbox so that the inbox will maintain its focus.
Hope this helps, let me know!

Hi again, Jeff. I tried your suggestion but the same thing happened.

Here's what I tried. After typing Mike M I alt tabbed and heard inbox,
desk top and the message body. When I pressed alt-s to send the message
it would ding at me when in any other window other than the message. I
pressed the alt-s combination to send the message and once again went to
the desk top.

Thanks again.

Mike M

I don't ever have this problem unless I have been alt-tabbing
around to get info to paste into my email.
Now, of course, if I alt-tab to WordPerfect, get something and
alt-tab to Windows Mail, and paste it in, and send the message, when the
mail is sent I go right back to Word Perfect.
When you are reading a message or composing a message in Windows
Mail, you are in a separate window which can be alt-tabbed to, so the
alt-tabbing rules apply.
        Hope this helps,
        Jeff Weiss

hHi all. Does anybody know if Windows Mail can be set up so hat
after pressing the alt s keys to send a message I end up on the desk
top. I like to stay in the inbox after sending messages. I don't even
remember Outlook Express doing that. Hmmm, interesting.
