Try eraser from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/eraser

You can create a bootdisk if you are doing a total clean up wipe out but of
course that's not readable or any screen reader will be able to load there.

By the way, your AVG is saying your virus defination is out of date, dated
on the 4th October 2008 I think the date format is right this way.

Subject: Good wipe utility that works with WE

Hello all,

As my husband stated earlier this week, we will be upgrading our desk top to
a new laptop. In the process of doing this, we would like to know what good
wipe utilities are available and which ones work with WE 7.0. We are not
interested in becoming the victims of identity theft. That's a fulll-time
job that I don't want thank you very much.

Any answers on this matter within the next few days would be greatly
appreciated as the change will happen very soon after Christmas.

Karyn Campbell, Illinois USA, [email protected] Using WE 7.0 on
five-year-old Dell Dimensions PC running XP home SP 2 with office 2002 (XP)
as well as two-year-old Dell Enspiron 1501 laptop running XP home SP 3 with
Office 2003 and IE 6 on both machines.
