Ray,

When you locate the window-eyes icon from your desktop, do alt-f10 to bring up
the context menu and arrow up to "run as administrator" I can't recall if you
can do this with window-eyes running normally or not. If not, try using
narrator to find the correct item in the context menu.

Unfortunately, I cannot speak to the upgrade problem, but this may get you
enough access so you can run at the login screen although I'd think that really
should be the default.

Certainly worth a try.

Don

  Subject: Question and Upgrade Problem

  Hello All:

I have a question. I just upgraded to a Toshiba Laptoprunning Windows Vista
Home Premium and Window-Eyes 7.0. When I installed Window-Eyes, I tried
setting the start-up options so I could have Window-Eyes start at the login. I
got an error message saying I need to have administrator privileges to do this
and that I need to use the Set Admin Options button. I tried this using both
space bar and enter on the button with no luck.

I figured, well, the upgrade to Window-Eyes 7.01 ought to solve this, right?
I tried to get this using the Window-Eyes option from the help menu and got the
following error message:
FATAL ERROR: Could not create a necessary file (Current Path:
y:\we_upgrades\7.0\P031376416).

So now I can't get the upgrade and can't get the start-up options set so WE
runs at the login screen. What should I do?

  Thanks,

  Ray Campbell
