Greetings:

For ripping a CD I have no problem using Windows Media Player. I find
that setting the bit rate to 192 provides me with a good quality MP3
file. And it does a good job in creating audio CDs as well.

The limitation with XP is that the built-in software, licensed from
Roxio, to burn a CD does not support writing to a DVD. I don't have any
experience with Vista yet.

When using XP then a program like Nero or Sonic works well with WE.

Vic

Subject: Media Program

Hello all,
Looking for the best program to use with WE for ripping, burning cd's
and DVD's. If it is free that would be great also. Is Winamp the best
for this or the version of Nero recommended on the GW page.

Thanks.
