are you having difficulty downloading the file at sendspace.com?

Hi,

You can also find Windows Live Messenger through the GW Micro site, or use the following link:

http://www.gwmicro.com/Support/Recommended_Applications/

From here there is a link to MSN which takes you to Windows Live Messenger.

If the link doesn't work for some reason then the steps I took to get there were: www.gwmicro.com, support link, then the recommended applications link, then the MSN link.

I have uploaded a copy of windows Live installer to www.sendspace.com
The direct link to the download page is:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/hh1fvj
Once you have the page loaded and displayed, look for a file named
windows_live_installer.exe
Don't forget the underline character between the words in the file name.

When you begin the installation process, you are prompted to accept
or decline the license agreement. The accept and decline buttons are
not visible but you can accept by pressing
alt a

The next screen presents you with a number of Windows Live utilities
that you can select for installation by ticking their respective
check boxes. For some reason I wasn't able to ascertain the status of
these check boxes because Window-eyes reads them all as "unchecked"
no matter how often I pressed the space bar or left click over the icon.
However, the good news is that the Windows Live Messenger is selected
by default. so all you need do is to tab over and activate the
appropriate button to progress to the next stage.
The installer then begins to download the necessary data for the
chosen component(s). This might take a few minutes. After that you
should be able to work out what's going on.
Please note that the installation process also changes your browser
settings, in particular, the home page and the default search engine
are both changed to Windows Live.
to readjust your default search engine do the following:
in your internet explorer options dialogue
1. make sure you are in the general tab column.
2. press
alt i
to display the
search defaults
dialogue.
3. use your up and down arrow keys to move among the search engines listed.
4. Having chosen a search engine, press
alt d
to register it as your default choice
or
alt r
to remove it.
5. tab over to the okay button or just press enter to exit search
defaults and to get back to the internet options dialogue.
Let us know how you get on.
