It sounds like the computer's date was changed after the installation and activation of Window-eyes. In any case, has the issue been resolved as yet?

This is a long story and I probably don't know the half of it!

A fellow I know got a second hand Small Talk. I understood him to say he paid for the monthly plan for WE. I would think so far, so good! He got someone to help him install Window Eyes. He didn't get his first name in the owner field when installing! I don't know what all went on with his PC. He isn't fluent with running a PC. He phoned me to complain that his WE is in Demo mode! It certainly was the case when I heard what I did through his speakers! He also has fears of typing anything without speech!

No matter what I tried to tell him to do, I heard the message that Window Eyes would shut down after five minutes. Even when the PC booted up, I couldn't get to a point where I could even unload Window Eyes. I couldn't get into the WE control panel without that message coming up! The only thing I could think of is completely uninstall and re-install WE. Since GW Micro is closed till the fifth of January, how could this person be helped to at least use his PC till it can work on the fifth when he phones GW Micro? It is sad that one must go through the long weekend without use of a PC. I of course was placed in this same predicament on one of these long weekends when I couldn't get JFW to work right! I used the WE Demo but I had a half hour to work with! I don't understand the ins and outs of the monthly payment system and it appears this fellow doesn't have much time before that message comes up!

Is there anything anyone can do over the phone to help or is he stuck till the fifth?
