Hello Bob. The most speech friendly these days is Windows Live Messenger
which was formally known as MSN Messenger. The newer versions will also
support Yahoo messenger contacts. Some who want multiple messenger
access such as Yahoo, Windows Live, AOL, ETC will use Miranda-IM and
they say it is pretty speech friendly.
Good luck.

I am interested in getting an instant messenger program.
My questions are:
1. Which IM program works the best with Window-Eyes?
2. Are the various IM programs compatible with each other?
In other words, if your friends all use different programs, do you have
to get 3 or 4 of them to be able to IM with all of them?
3. If not, which IM program is most widely used?
