Although it shouldn't have to be this way, you should be able to turn Browse 
Mode off and then check or uncheck as 
you would like.  I do not remember if browse Mode reports the correct status 
when you do that or not, so you may want 
to recheck it before pressing the download button.

Reader there is a checkbox that I want to uncheck to avoid downloading the 
google tool bar as well.  Once on the
