Bob, I am using Outlook Express 6 on this computer and when in the
inbox,Pressing the right arrow on the message will put focus on that
message. the top or bottom of the list doesn't matter, pressing the right
arrow on the message before you want to open it, or delete it, while the
message is still closed.Best, Craig Richcreek

I have had this problem for a long time but it is getting a little
irritating. When I go to my inbox to read say the fist message in my
inbox or any folder if I press escape to leave the message and say delete
that message it will delete another one I wanted to read later. It is
almost like the window eyes is not highlighting the correct message. Is
there a work around for this?
Walt,
I have the same problem when I have a lot of messages in my In Box. If I
quickly do a page up or down, or go to the first message, or last, it
seems that it takes a few seconds for the cursor to catch up. When I do
this, I open the message first to make sure that I am on the right one.
If I am, I close it and delete it. But as I say, when jumping around
quickly in the In Box, sometimes I find that the message I think I am on,
I am not.
