Hi there,

You've got a pretty fare description of the netbook.

I can tell you that tablet pc's hae been around for a long time and they're a type of thin and light laptop that you write on with a stylis.

Pocket pc's are litterally computers that fit in your pocket. They aren't capable of running window-eyes because they run a special flavour of windows built just for mobile computing. Most often today's pocket pc's are billed as pocket pc phones or smart phones, because they have sellphone hardware in them. I suspect minni pc is a shuttle cube or something. It looks like a 6 inch cube with a handle on top. You cary it with you and plug it in to a docking station at the places you use it in. It probably needs external power to un but is very small and it can be a very high powered desktop unit if built to spec. Unfortunately that's what it boils down to. It's an extremely small desktop system.

Hope this helps,

I am browsing around, for a small, portable pc unit, that I can runn with WE7.

In the old days, when I was younger, it was easy: We had something that was called a notebook pc, or laptop. Easy enough, this was (and still is, of course) a protable pc.''

But through my seardch on the net, I find there is sneaking in a few new terms, which old guys like me, ain't familiar with. If anyone would please, takee the time to explain the differencies between the following terms, and if there is any particularities to keep in mind, when WE7 is to be loaded onto the unit - i.e what CPU/ram should be the minimum I should go for, etc. Also, when loaded with WinXP (it says in the ad), is that a standard WinXP on these units, or in any way modified versions. Is there any of the listed units, that is more user friendly, for blind people, than others - i.e does the models typically hold touchscreen, or keypad, etc. All feedback and directions will be greatly appriciated. Thanks, in advance! The unit terms I am wondering are:

- Tablet pc
- netbook
- pocket pc
- eee computers
- mini pc

Maybe some of the terms are different names on the same baby, I don't know, since I never touched any of the units. Simply wondering what this is, and if it could be of interest for me.
