Hello John, that is the default ding sound of Windows. You might not
have it configured under Windows sounds. So you will want to check that
you're using the default sound scheme.
Many thanks.

I just got a new computer and am busily getting it configured to my
liking. One thing I've noticed is that, when I'm deleting text or moving
to the top of an e-mail or document, the computer doesn't beep to let me
know I've reached the top or bottom of a page or document. My old
computer did, which I found helpful.
I'm using XP Pro;, the same system I had on my previous computer.
Anybody got a suggestion how I can fix this?
Thanks.
