I've seen several different varieties of this:

one where window eyes just stops working altogether.

The other where window eyes is otherwise working, but only the first
half syllable of each phrase gets spoken, and the rest is somehow
aborted; it's not understandable, but you can tell something would have
been spoken.

Which one are you describing?
