and if the WE Java script is better than what Jaws
uses, then who needs it.!!!!!!!smile.

Agreed but that's not proven yet!

Yes, I daresay a script could be written to manipulate the different versions!

Surely there could be a script that would allow you to swap the jaws and WE versions of the file and if the WE Java script is better than what Jaws uses, then who needs it.!!!!!!!smile.

The problem with this is that if you run two or more screenreaders and one of the others, eg JAWS, requires the Java AccessBridge. In this case, after you've installed WE4Java into the various VMs, it backs up the accessibility.properties file which may contain information pertinent to JAWS before creating a new one without this information. Therefore, it looks as though you won't be able to run multiple screenreaders and expect Java support from them all!

So in other words no there is no need to install the java access bridge.
Just install WEForJava.

Hello Don. According to the message sent out about this, the answer is
no. I quote the following for your reference.

The WE4Java Script Central web page describes WE4Java as a script that
"provides access to Java based programs using an alternate technology
from the Java Access Bridge. This interface communicates directly with
the Window-Eyes COM object model via a public API."

Hope this helps.

Along with installing Java on your computer should you also install the
Java Access Bridge?
