This happens because focus is momentarily taken from the browser. To fix
this, go to your messenger tools and options. In the alerts tab, uncheck
display alerts when a message is received. You will still hear the tone
of an incoming message, but the message itself will not flash and take
focus away.
Hope this helps.

Hi all,
I just noticed a problem with WE 7.01 and Internet Explorer. When I was reading
on a webpage and I received a message on Windows Live Messenger Window-Eyes
jumped to the top of the webpage. This has already happened twice now.
I had the conversation window opened, have not tried it with a new
conversation. This was really annoying since it was a quite large webpage. has
anyone else experienced this or can duplicate this?
Using IE 7 under XP Pro and latest Windows Live messenger and all updates.
Best regards,
Christian
