Larry,
I personally haven't tried any of the fluff with IE8, so can't address
that specifically, but one thing that I would say is worth upgrading for
is the increased speed of loading web pages. your mileage may vary, but
I definitely notice a speed increase from IE7 to IE8.

Hi there. I've seen quite a few posts concerning accessability plusses
and minuses in Internet Explerer 8. We've also checked out the videos
that Microsoft offers on the subject. Now I'm wondering what the browser
offers someone who is surfing the net with a screen reader. The program
boasts accelerators, web slices and other toolbars which sound useful
but also sound visual, leaving me to wonder if they are applicable for
use with screen readers. In short, for those here who use IE 8 and for
those who have tried it and subsequently rejected it, what are the
advantages and disadvantages of trading in IE 7 for IE 8 for use with
Window-Eyes 7.01?
Thanks for any thoughts.
