Dear Listers:
I am filling out an assessment on
www.migrationexpert.com
After answering a million questions, I hit the Next button and wait for it to
digest my answers. When it comes back, it is on the password screen, and so I
know
I have been timed out. So, of course, after entering the password again, I find
that my results are gone. So, I then entered just a couple of answers to the
questionnaire to test it out
and tried both hitting the f5 key and later I repeated the attempt using the
Control-f5
key combination. When it came back from both attempts, my sample input was
gone.
So, unless I type as fast as greased lightning, I do not think I can finish all
the
questions in time. Refreshing the screen by giving me a new clean slate is not
quite
what I had in mind when I tried doing the refresh. So, am I at the mercy of
their
website, or is there something else I can try?
Also, I just tried the above on my computer at work using Firefox 3.0.6. About
half the questions that I answered using internet Explorer were missing when I
used Firefox. Also, when using Firefox, after selecting something in a combo
box and turning browse mode back on again, I would be thrown to the top of the
page and would have to hit the letter C myriads of times to get back to where I
was before. I am using Window-eyes 5.5 (version 7 is on order) and windows
2000 with firefox. Will this be solved when I install version 7, or is this a
Firefox problem. Do you have any ideas?
Thanks. Regards: Ted Larson
