so far it has not crashed but for me it does not scan any files. it runs for 3 minutes and says 0 files scanned,0 objects scanned and 0 viruses found
maybe its just because its late and i should be in bed.,grin
i'll try again tomorrow

Just wanted to let you all know that I got my problem with nod 32 version 4.0 fixed.
Drew,  one of the Eset tech support fixed it for me.
Now the scans work right.
Not sure  but it has something to do with the graphical interface.
We turned it on and things work.
