I haven't had the pc crash as you describe, but after rebooting and starting
windows mail (using vista home premium here also), the first message takes
several seconds to load. Subsequent messages do not.

It's always been that way for me.

  Subject: Interesting Query-Perhaps?

  Using WE7.01; Vista Home Premium.
When I have rebooted my computer and I open Windows Mail the program takes
some time to start. This does not occur with subsequent use of the program.
When I exit Mail and then immediately open a browser (either Firefox 3 or
Interrnet Explorer) the system crashes. Can't determine whether it is a WE
crash or a system crash as everything is locked.
  Anyone else had this happen?
  Cheers
  Andrea
