Hi: I installed sql server express. Ever since then WE has been crashing frequently. It crashes in almost any module, internet explorer, outlook express and in the Control Panel so the problem seems to be with the running sql server or browser process. What type of conflicts could WE have with a Database Server? Memory? I don't know but the crashing frequency has gone up dramatically since the install. It looks like something has also gone wrong with either the install as a result of we not reading the grid view checkboxes correctly or something else. So far I have not been able to fix the problem and it looks like I will have to ReInstall the XP Pro. Operating System or get someone to do it for me. This is not a good situation. Something, perhaps just me, is dangerously unstable - grin.I hope 7.1 will be much diferent and be as stable as the old 6.xx versions. At least it never crashed when I worked with visual studio and sql server. Rick USA
