It is true that Firefox doesn't use true progress bars but that doesn't
mean that the progress indicator script couldn't be updated to handle
them. Scripting is very powerful and flexible so it wouldn't be
difficult to get them integrated. In fact, this is on our radar but we
just haven't taken the time to do it.
