I found the issue using HumanWare Companion, it is a script, don't
yet know which, but when I turn scripting off, the problem vanishes.
At least now I know what to do when I with or need to use HumanWare
Companion for the Stream.
It is, for those who have asked, a program which integrates books
you've downloaded onto your PC with your Humanware Victor Stream, and
can also transfer notes you've recorded onto your Stream to your PC
for further editing, etc. It also handles *.zip book files, podcasts,
BookShare books, text, Audible, NLS (DAISY), and music. So, as I
said, it is important software for those of us who use the Humanware
Victor Stream.
