Based on my rather crude understanding of this, I suspect:
1) WE4Java doesn't use the Java Bridge but queries Java user interfaces
directly.
2) OpenOffice.org doesn't (for the most part) use Java to generate its
user interface, even if it exposes accessibility information for that
interface via the Java Bridge.
