Those appended messages can definitely be turned off as I have done so. Press F5 to open the list of settings you can change. Unfortunately, I don't recall exactly where this setting is located. Perhaps someone else can give more exact information if it is needed. Again, let me state that it is definitely possible to turn off these appended messages. I too find them a bit annoying. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Peters" <[email protected]>

Subject: nod32 or MacAfee

Hi,

I see a few messages going by on the subject of virus protection software, so here's my two cents worth.

I use MacAfee at work and home because I get it free from my employer, but I most assuredly do not find its interface at all friendly to blind users. I also have intermittent problems with speech which GW Micro staff have indicated would be improved by getting off MacAfee. I don't get a choice at work, but could make a change at home.

I tried NOD32, but when I send and receive messages I see that NOD32 puts information on its data base version etc in the body of my email. To my mind this is nothing but AddWare and I'll not pay money to advertize their product. As I couldn't find any way to turn this off I will not purchase the product. Maybe its only there if you're using the demo version, but who wants to spend the money to find out?

Take care, Robert
