Hi. You can always change this behavior from the control information of the Braille menu. Alt-b, C and choose one of the radio buttons. This will allow you to control what is displayed on the display, and in what order.

David wrote the following on 5/22/2009 2:07 AM:
In many cases, when scrolling through 'lists' or choices, there is a ton
of 'guiding text' on the Braille display. This tends to be before the
real choice, meaning, that if you are using a short Braille lin - i.e, a
40cell line - you won't see the real selected choice, without SCROLLING
your display back and forth, for each choice. OK, let me give you a
couple of examples, and you will see what I mean. My question is, if we
really NEED to have all this 'guiding texxt' showing up all the time,
while making our choice. At least, could it be made a matter of a
checkbox in the Braille setup menu, whether you want the guiding text or
not. Let's wait one more day for 7.1??? :)
Example 1:
Go to the WE menu, and choose the script menu. As you scroll down your
list of installed script, the Braille line will show:
Script for Global Addremove.vbs
Script for Global GWToolkit
Script for Global MyOwnScriptIsFun
Example 2:
Go to Outlook Express, and then tab over to the Folder list. I have
sorted my OE, the way, that there is several folders under my inbox,
some of them with subfolders. For instance, there is a folder named
Ebay, which has its subfolder named Findings. When scrolling down to it,
my Braille display wil read the following line:
Folders Findings (18) Ebay (1) Inbox (22) Local Folders
(The numbers in the parenthesis, are the number of unread messages, and
is K enough to be there). But whhy do I need all the long information?
All I want to know, is that I have scrolled down to the Findings folder.
If now, I was uncertain as to the whole 'tree' of my possition, why
don't we have a way of calling for that info (i.e a certain keystroke -
ALT-INS-B - for showing full Braille info).
Example 3:
Since first in OE, let's try to define a message rule. Go to the message
menu | Create rule from message, make your choices under point one and
two, and scroll down to the place (in point 3), where you want to define
the folder to move the message to, then press INS-NUMPAD+, to get the
mouse there, and left click (NUMPAD /).
Your Braille line now will read something like this, when scrolling down
the list of folders:
Move the selected item(s) to the selected folder: Local folders
Move the selected item(s) to the selected folder: Inbox
Move the selected item(s) to the selected folder: Ebay
Well, again, why do I have to move my fingers across the whole line of
'Move the selected item(s) to the selected folder:' message? This
actually, does not even fit into one line on a 40cell display, which
means, that for every time I press the up-/down-arrow keys on the
keyboard, to scroll the list of choices, I will have to move my Braille
display to the right, to read the actual choice I am on. POOFFF! Tricky?
Wearysome? Unnecessary load of info?
First we are speaking about Braille functions:
Could it be implemented a feature in WE, where you could have 'locked'
the Braille display in a certain possition on the line? I.e, say you
know, the info in a text, like a column, would be from character 25
through 49. If now, you could have locked your display to start at
position 25, by scrolling down the lines, you would always see the text
starting at position 25, and how many characters ahead, your display
might have. A quick 'hotkey' could be used to turn this 'position
locker' on/off.
